I know you guys probably hate it when I do this, but here goes. I did (and still do) much of the marketing for the Milw. Region SCCA events. On an annual basis we bring in $5,000 in sponsor monies for the club. This subsidizes a LOT of equipment, rental and operating fees. I have been trying to do this in Texas, but with less success, probably because I am not a long standing member of the community.

rpmchris is leveraging his relationship with Genghis to sponsor an event or a party. I have dent removal company who is willing to sponsor an event which I need to get to the finish line as well. I have talked to about a dozen companies so far this year, but I need help. All of you know a company who could benefit from being able to directly market to a group of people who WILL spend money on their cars. Think alignment, tires, detailing, service, batteries, car dealers, etcetera. Each us probably spends $1,000 a year. Multiply this by 100 or so participants, and this is a lot of potential revenue in exchange for a $350 sponsor fee. Any service business is actually a good prospect.

I will run down any lead you provide me, for any of the clubs, and try to bring them in. All I ask for is a "warm" introduction, and I will try and get them involved.

If we had $2,500 per club in sponsor dollars, we would probably not be having the conversation about raising entry fees.

Let me be clear on this, and I probably speak on behalf of Andy, too -- we have no plans to raise entry fees. The previous discussion was only an example of what would be required to get a specific lot. The NTAXS has no plans to pursue this lot nor raise fees.

The point still remains that if we get some sponsors involved, we have more financial flexibility when it comes to these matters.

This seems like a good topic for a new thread.

I've seen other lots at TMS that look very useable and very sizable. I've always wondered why we don't run on those more often.

Also, with the economic decline of late. I have to believe there are more available industrial/warehouse lots that are no longer stocked with gods. Some of those I've seen on google maps are huge.

That explains why Tebow and Hamilton are doing so bad lately!

If anyone picked up a spare 'god of acceleration' idol on closeout, I'm interested.

On second thought, that'd likely cause a surfing accident, a wall hanging near-miss, and a tarantula outbreak.

Huh? Everyone loves Tebow and throwback Brady humor. My mom says I'm smart, funny and a great catch.

Looking at ER website, it sounds like we are going to enforce the sound limit. Is this correct?

That's my understanding, but I will bring it up at the board meeting tonight.

The forecast for Sunday looks like mid-60s, partly cloudy, and a little windy. It should be a nice day. I have never been to this site, but it will at least be exciting trying some place new. Looks like there's a McDonalds next door, so I would be up for meeting there. I might even have the wife talked into racing at this event.

It's the first event of the regular DFW season, so come on out.
