If you never, ever, drive cars with Lucas electrics at night, or in the rain, you will rarely need to refill the wiring harness smoke.

The Ghost of Lucas still haunt me to this very day and my Triumph TR6 has been gone for over 20 years.

Thanks, it has been longer for me and some of the details begin to fade. The coil on my Bugeye Sprite used to glow on humid days.

I had a '80 MGB in 1984. It was a whole lot of fun right up to the day I turned the wheel left and absolutely nothing happened. Well, alot happened between the time I turned the wheel and when I came to a stop in a dinning room.
I drive to fast to worry about my cholesterol.

My dad still has his 59' Bugeye Sprite that he bought in about 61'. It hasn't been driven since 78' or 79' At least it's garaged in New Mexico. I love that car. Even has has a hardtop.

Mine was a '61. I drove it stock about a year and then swapped in a Triumph TR-4A engine/transmission and a TR-2 rear end. Pretty much ruined it as a useful car but it would just humilliate '66 Ford 390 GT-A's at the dragstrip. The engine swap solved the coil problem too. Wish now I had another one to do differently.
