Thread: Question for SCCA Nationals competitors.

  1. #1

Default Question for SCCA Nationals competitors.

Knowing there is a 2-day TnT for Nats competitors in College Station on 8/25-8/26, how many of you (Nats competitors) would attend the ER event on Sunday, 8/26 if it were to be held at the new Crandall concrete site instead of the current asphalt Mesquite site?

Basically, if there are enough people who will attend at Crandall (who would not attend otherwise) to justify the added expense, the ER board is open to the possibility of relocation.

Please post here or pm me if you (or others) fit that description. You need not be a Nats competitor if you fall into the "Will run at Crandall, won't attend at Mesquite Memorial" category. Anyone who would be an "additional" registration based on the site choice counts towards the needed total.

Does that mean that the Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas benefit event would be held at Crandall?

I'm not planning to go to CS, so I'll be at the ER event regardless of where it's held.

We are planning on CS on Saturday.

Stan is on call that weekend and Sunday's don't have a good history of working out so probably wouldn't attend either location.

Sure would like to go to Crandall if you can work out the details.

wmr - if the event was moved, the GnH would move with it.

I'm good either way but Crandall is bigger. After all, we are all size queens, especially OZMDD

Not going to Nats, but I prefer Crandall over Mesquite. Regardless, I'll be wherever ER is running that day.

    Crandall over the gravel pit.

Crandall was a nice site, I haven't run ER in a while but would consider coming out to Crandall.

I am a maybe for Mesquite, but I would be a definite for Crandall.

I don't have much free time to autocross these days, so I would be much more inclined to come out for a good site. I'd also be willing to pay more - an extra couple bucks is a small price to pay for twice the lot size and no shitty gravel.

I would register either way. Crandall would be nice though.

Man, so many "I love AutoX enough to attend anywhere" votes.

    Well, NOT ME!

I'm IN for Crandall, but will be watching pre-season football rebroadcasts at home if it's at Mesquite.

We're going to college station either way.

I would not mind paying a little more for Crandall. It’s a much better site than Mesquite, and only a little farther drive.

I would rather go to Mineral Wells than either of the Mesquite sites. I like Mineral Wells, so that's not a slam against the Mesquite sites.

I will pass-on these comments at the ER board meeting this Tuesday. Anyone is welcome to attend and voice their opinion on this topic, or send a message to NomadTrash (ER prez) expressing your view.

Already committed to the TAM event. While Crandall is likely better than anything else locally it is too small to set up a Nationals type course.
