Thread: High compression built small block

Default High compression built small block

This is an engine that Republic Custom Engine built for me. I had intentions of putting this in my track car but it didn't work out. The oil pump, MBSP and oil pan need to be installed. I've left it off in case the new buyer wanted to upgrade the oil pump assembly.

    Engine build details:
    99 block
99 crank, knife edged with 8.5lbs removed. (Done by Rolands Precision Machine in Alvin,TX)
    Supertech forged H Beam rods
    Supertech 11:1 84mm forged pistons
    ARP Main studs
    New Clevite Main Bearings
    New Rod Bearings
    Assembly Balanced

    I have $2000 in this setup. I'm asking $1500.

When this setup was tested before using a stock 99 head with MS intake cam and adjustable cam gear, it made 174whp on a mediocre tune.

The shop is Rolands Precision Machine in Alvin, TX. They sent it out to someone, so I don't know the shop that did the work.
