Thread: Auto transport / shipping company recommendation?

Default Auto transport / shipping company recommendation?

Anyone have a good auto shipper they use? Everyone that has responded to the "get-a-quote" has a D or F rating with the BBB. Amazing some of these are still allowed to do business in the USA let alone the third world countries they must be spamming from.

DAS in Mesquite has been around a while, a friend used them once to get his car from here to NJ, there were no issues.

I used Golden Key (http://goldenkeyexpress.com/auto-transport/) to get my FFE from NJ to here earlier this year. Was $900 unenclosed. Great people (talked to the driver for about an hour).

uship.com can be a very good deal, but hard to tell which shippers are reliable.

My dad and I used to use DAS quite a bit when we sold cars on eBay. Always had good results.

Isn't shipping wars (stupid tv show, full of fail) basically an anti-advertisement for one of these places?

Trying to deliver a replacement car to my Mom near Toledo. She found out no one wins in Car vs.Truck.

Driver it to her and fly back. If it was closer I might have been willing to haul it for you.

If you've got the time, I'd do what jeff_man suggests. Otherwise, most of the transports take a week or three to get scheduled and transferred.

I requested quotes from DAS and Golden as recommended. The 9 quotes I got from uShip and another quote service all had D or F BBB rankings or have changed their names to avoid detection.

I don't really have the time but a road trip may be in the future.
