It says it is "classified as a motorcycle according to the NHTSA". I wonder how this would translate to things like helmet laws and motorcycle licenses.![]()
I'm reading the rest of the code section now... hold on...
Edit -
Well, if the NHTSA labels it a motorcycle, then there would be nothing the state could do to supercede that (I believe) and all Texas motorcycle laws would adhere to it and it's riders.

I thought riders over 18 in Texas were not required to wear a helmet?
Not suggesting that it would be a good idea to ride a bike without one...
Edit: Looks like it's 21 and up in Texas:
(b) Motorcycle helmet exemption. Persons 21 years old or older are exempt from wearing a motorcycle helmet if they:
(1) have successfully completed a motorcycle operator training course as approved under Texas Transportation Code, Ch. 662; or,
(2) are covered by a health insurance plan providing the person with at least $10,000 in medical benefits for injuries incurred as a result of an accident while operating or riding upon a motorcycle.

What the heck! Sign me up for one. (Although it would be at least the second year model to get the bugs out!)

I don't have any tangible evidence at my disposal, but I heard a rumor that Texas is (soon) going to change the laws to read all motorcycle operators and passengers will be required to wear helmets, no exceptions. Like I said, though, I can't prove it.

Even when they had a helmet law on the books, the use of an enclosed cockpit motorcycle was exempt.
I personally liked the 1985 Pulse much better.

More important than ever to get all your braking done before you start to turn.
