We hope this date will not change, but if the National SCCA puts any nearby events on this weekend we may have to change our dates. At this time we have checked with the Houston folks and the Texas Region SCCA folks and we believe we have some good dates. I should have entry
forms and additional info in the next newsletter but feel free to email me a quick note indicating your desire to attend. As I mentioned at the last event, I feel it is MUCH better to say you plan
on attending and later canceling then waiting to say you will attend. I KNOW the National SCCA prefers this method as well. Please email me at: Gerry.Terranova @ us.fujitsu.com
More information is available at the Equipe Rapide Website and Evolution Performance Driving website!

Last weekend Gerry said (IIRC) they are looking at Phase 1 on Friday, Phase 1 and Phase 2 on Saturday, with Dial in on Sunday and Challenge on Sunday. If enough people sign up for Dial in and Challenge, then Dial in could be moved to Saturday.

I don't recall if Phase 1 or Phase 2 will be offered on Sunday.

I'm not sure which level I would benefit from, I heard phase 1 is pretty basic but not sure if I'm ready for phase 2 or challenge. Any suggestions?

    Phase 1 - Skill Building
The "original" Evolution program as developed by the McKamey Autocross School. This first step in the Evolution is where all students start, regardless of experience. Daylong course builds upon students existing skills, while introducing new ideas to improve one’s times. Students both ride and drive with Evolution trained national caliber drivers to learn where they are fast and where they need to improve. Small student teacher ratio of 6:1 insures quality instruction time. Computerized timing provides segment times, which can be compared at various times during the day. Do to some factors such as, weather, segment times may not be available and are beyond our control.

Combined with race proven skills, concepts, and techniques this course will improve the performance of all drivers on both road and track. Even experienced driver’s benefit from the Phase 1 course as a refresher for those things they’ve forgotten over the years or perhaps never learned. No matter what type of car you drive the Phase 1 skills will improve your overall driving abilities.
Note: All students must provide their own two-seat vehicle for the day. Two driver cars are welcome.

Cool thanks, I was talking to OneThing who has been to most of them and he said that Phase 1 was pretty basic. That sounds like some good stuff though.

I have been to Phase 1 several time and Phase 2 a couple of times. Phase 1 was timed runs. Phased 2 was not. The focus on P2 was more looking ahead and not time.

FWIW I haven't been to any, but plan on starting with Phase 1. Send Gerry an email and get on his list now. I already did.

It looks like the April 11, 12, 13 dates may change.

There is a Pro Solo in Arkansas that weekend, so Gerry is (1) trying to find out how firm that date is, and (2) if firm, looking for another date.

If it changes, looking at the last weekend in March, but don't know site availability yet.

    Yep, here's his email -

Please note: I have had to change the Evolution Performance Driving
School dates due to a conflict with a recently announced SCCA ProSolo in Arkansas.

The new Evolution Performance Driving School dates for Equipe Rapide at
    Mineral Wells are: March 28, 29, 30.

If you have already sent an entry, please let me know if the new dates
    will work for you.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.
    Thanks,
    Gerry

I have signed up for two days worth. Maybe extreme, maybe Phase 2 and challenge, depends on what is available after everyone starts to register.

I'm signed up for the Extreme too. Maybe we'll have enough drivers to have it.

All the money I saved by not going to the A&M AX paid for most of it.
