Default SCCA Autox Bus Lot June 19

Ok guys, registration is open for the bus lot event on June 19. Logistical problems encountered in the past should be greatly improved, as is the traction faction...
Due to lot not being coated for a couple of years, stickability is greatly improved. Should be a fun course, fun time for everyone...If you haven't registered yet, let's get crackin.'

I like the bus lot, so I'll likely be there - but I'm still fighting off other claimants for my time that weekend.

At PCA Autox #1, the grip felt about the same as last year, and the impact on the car's balance was just as big... Mitch & I found that drastically lower tire pressures were the key to success.

I enjoy a good spinout every now & then, so I should be there. I just hope I can get my suspension installed before then...

Running without one at the bus lot would suck.

Love to be there, but I'll be otherwise occupied that weekend...

How come they didn’t let you ride in the boat?

I guess I'll be going to TMS!

I couldn't find anything requiring a roll bar.

    Does that sound right?

Ok guys, I found out Friday that I can't get the road closed between the bus lot and the paddock lot due to not having the insurance sheet two weeks prior to the event. (National office late getting it out, just got it Friday, called the powers that be and was advised too late) However, I have designed a great course that will allow grid to take place on the bus lot, and still give us a good 55/60 second, fun to drive, course.
We will have to empty grid completely before allowing next heat to grid, but that should take no longer than trying to get cars from a grid area in paddock to the course lot. Trust me on this one, it should be a much better event without the logistical problems encountered in the past...

Does that also mean that we will have to grid a heat all at one time and completely?

It means that cars can leave following their last run, and we will have a pre-grid in the Paddock lot to move up after the previous heat cars have finished. That, as opposed to folks going in at random and creating a traffic problem...it should work ok.
