The video was pretty good. Glad it worked out for you. I had a great time out there as well. As for your lines, most turns were pretty good. Rattlesnake and Horsehoe seemed to be your biggest issues. Some of the turns, with miatas, you can brake earlier and get on throttle sooner, much sooner. The single biggest issue I see that can become huge, is that you drive like you are on the street. Your hands need to be postioned on the steering wheel at 9 and 3. Looked like you were having fun...

    Good times!

That was a lot of fun, but the NC really needs some stiffer springs. I'm getting too used to driving jrj512's nicely setup NA on 700 lb/in front springs.

I was lucky to get a good student. Miatamike worked out a lot of things over the course of the day. We made some changes to his setup and he was able to really push the car a lot harder.

Nails, thanks for letting me get a couple laps in your car to try out the Hotchkis bars. The car felt very good, it rotated nicely when you wanted it to but was easy to control.

    Thanks for organizing this Gary!

I had an awesome time on the track, great to see some old faces and met some new ones!

I made small improvements in each of my first 3 sections, and got my time down to high 1:33. With my best lap time of 1:33.86 according to my 5HZ GPS.

Thanks altiain for his instructions. Ken O and Miatamoto for ride alongs. (add points to ken's big drift..), really shows me the lines of the track.

Nails and trickyrix I will PM u guys when I get the video done.

Judging by my video, I definitely left some time out there. Please feel free to comment on my driving!

    Good video.
As stated before, hand placement is the biggest problem I see. Put em at 9 and 3 and leave them there, except when shifting. My left hand never leaves the 9 position the entire session...

Great driving SixAce! You definitely belong in the advance group. Nice save 3:38 into second video. I went off track there twice. I also saw your light pop up 8:07 in. Was that the wind or you accidentally hit the button?

You're welcome Miatamoto. Anytime. Thanks for the feedback and giving me a ride along in your NC. Definitely louder and grippier than mine.

Great meeting you Apex2apex. I thought your car was FI but now I know you're just a much better driver than I am. I look forward to more of your videos.

Also thanks to Chris_S for letting me drive his red NC. It is noticeably faster than mine with the cold air intake, midpipe, and exhaust. Can't wait to see it next time when you have the new Tein Monoflexes and 17x9 RPF1's.

And thanks very much to Gary for putting on a great event. Hope it becomes annual!

Hey SixAce....are you going to post up my video? It was the last one before the battry died. Thanks to Speed for giving another perspective on the last session. I really learned a lot on Friday and had lots of fun. The best part is the car ran great with no brake fading or cooling issues.

Thanks for the 9 and 3 tip guys. I'll work on it for sure, if I can remember the next time, as track days for me are few unfortunatly.

Tim, your video should be up sometime tonight, it takes me awhile, and I had work, yada,yada...I'll put the whole run up like mine, in two parts as they have a 10 minute max...Also, I have your 2 numbers that you loaned John. I'll get them to you somehow, perhaps at a meet.

Nails, you did 2 offs in that corner? Wow...your speed has really picked up. Anybody know the name of that corner? I think it's horseshoe, and wagonwheel is the one after rattlesnake correct? Or do I have the backwards?

I was watching your run group from the wall, and your NC was in the top three in your group. Looked smooth and fast...The vivid yellow turbo from Arkansas was wicked fast and he got bumped into my group. Went by me like I was dragging an anchor or something.

As far as the pop ups, that's how I wave to corner workers at the end of the sessions..usually gets a smile from them.

Lots of wind noise unfortunatly, but that cam was in the breeze for sure...

I was suprised at the amount of open track you had, seems like I remember someone saying there were 19 cars in your group?

Anyway, nice lines. I like that camera angle for showing them off.

Thanks. I had no idea how I compared to the rest of the intermediate group speedwise. I do remember pointing that yellow NB by me earlier in the day and it was fast. I thought it was Gary slumming with us.
I know Chris_S in the red NC was doing about the same as me and Apex2apex looked like he was the fastest in our group after the yellow car was bumped up.

You were right, that corner I went off twice is called horseshoe and wagonwheel does follow the rattlesnake. I was taking the inside line on it after holding wide left exiting buzzard neck. It's the only spot on the track I use 2nd gear. I over accelerated both times and ran into the infield. Really made a mess of my car the second time but no damage.

I wish I could have been driving out there, but I still had fun watching. BIG thanks to johnwag for the ride along. I can't say enough about his skills. I didn't know it was possible to get through Big Bend at 90 in a Miata!

Great trackday Gary. Thanks for ordering the awesome weather; 80's, overcast and a little wind.

Nice to meet a bunch of the newer DFW crew and see some of the older crew as well.

MSR is a fun track, after the third session I really started to fall in the groove. According to my watch I had a few 1:34's when not in traffic or getting hot.

I wanna run the new section of the track sometime.
