Default Hi Just purchased a used 90 miata

Hi I wanted to introduce my self.

I just got a 90 miata with a begi garret turbo system with intercooler and upgraded fuel pump 255 i think, a magnaflow 2.5 exhaust with high flow cat and separate downpipe.
I replaced the trans and am having it painted over at maaco in ftworth. The manager over there is miata guy Greg.
He seemed happy to help and the price was right. I sanded and cleaned the whole car before taking it over there. I primers all exposed metal.
I took all the lights off and wrapped the intercooler.
The car had a misdone paint job when I bought it. gray with white showing thru so even a ok paint job will be a big improvement.
I paid 3100 for the car and 400 for trans with 2 yr warranty and am paying 400 for paint.
I also have a 1.8 diff, drive shaft, axle cvs and outer rear spindels and all 4 larger disc and calipers.
    I will install soon.
My friends dad has a 04 speed he upgraded and is giving me the stock bilsteins and coils. I am going to order isc hats and see if it fixes the terrible stock ride. Shocks are way gone.
It has a hard dog roll bar and a new top with glass rear window.
the interior was missing a airbag but got one and wired it up for 40 dollars. It was stolen not deployed.
You could tell by they way the cut the wires before the connector.
Now it needs a stereo to fill the hole where one should be in console

I have a aem a/f wideband gauge and a bipes box and a begi fuel pressure boaster.
    Oh and a boast gauge.

Was running 5psi now up to 7 1/2 with good reading and 2 degree more timing pulled.

I am really excited about my new toy

    Thanks

    Brian

That could come in real handy if you make it out to one of the Wednesday night meets. Especially right after Miatas@Hallett .

Welcome to the forum. What part of the metro-mess do you live in? There is usually a group that gets together on Wednesday evenings to eat cheap food and stand around looking at/ talking about their miatas. Keller's hamburgers on NW Highway is usually the place of choice when the weathers nice like it has been lately. Keep an eye on the forums as someone will usually start a thread on Tuesday or Wednesday to decide where to meet. Everyone's really friendly so show up if you can make it. I even make an occasional appearance to represent the westside guys (i.e. Fort Worth).

    Welcome aboard,
    Keith

Yep, sounds like a nice deal on a fun car. Glad to hear you dove right in and started getting it tip top. You'll be very pleased with the paint work Greg does. Just don't let him turn it into a transformer or a Grand Sport! Something along the lines of Smokey and the Bandit would look nice...

Just ignore this joker. He's high on the epoxy fumes coming off his kit car chassis.

    Thanks for the welcome.
I am having fun with the car. The paint turned out pretty good. There where more dings than I thought in the hood and trunk. But no question it looks a lot better and was a good deal for 400 dollars. The paint was not perfect. Some rough spots but you get what you pay for.
I went with a dark blue.
I will get some pics up soon.

    Thanks
