Why put the competition mounts on it? More vibration?? Impress the JDM crowd?? Why???

Actually I just asked the kid and she likes it the way it is so stock mounts is what I'll get. I can always switch them later.
What if she goes to Hallett?

Looks like Miatas at Hallett will be gone after this year so I guess no worries..... Maybe we can tag along with ken o to one of the local tracks!

Flywheel is at a shop in Haltom City getting resurfaced. Check

UPS Tracking hasn't updated the status of my Mazdaspeed order since the 25th. Fail

Maybe she'll get to drive the Buick if you're not done.

I think the keeper of the Buick would not allow that to happen.

^You do realize you actually have to install the parts in the car to fix the shudder!

    1. Jack up the car
    2. Remove parts from boxes
    3. Slide parts under car
    4. Turn out garage lights and go to sleep
    5. Next morning, lower car and test drive

    Made some progress yesterday!

Does anyone on the west-side have a Tranny Jack? My old craftsman jack wasn't really up to the task in dropping the tranny last night.

Also what is that gooo on the flywheel bolts? Figure I need some of that to put it back together.

The goo is probably thread locker. You actually took the PPF off? BTW you know you need to slightly jack up the front of the motor before you try and reinstall the trans right?

Isn't there some trick where you use a long bar clamp, and go from the front of the engine back to the firewall?

Never tried that before. I've always used a bunge cord tied off from the STB to the front engine hook, but you have to do that before you remove the trans.

Dang, POS. For a chubby white boy, you got mad mechanic skilz!
What's left of a '96 Miata with stock clutch.
My car exceeds my driving ability. That's the only possible explanation.
